With 2017 winding, now is the perfect time to prepare for having a healthy and successful 2018. Whether your goals are weightloss, fitness or spiritually grounded, now more than ever is the most important time to lay the foundation down for lifestyle changes that will help you become the most balanced and BEST possible version of yourself.
88% of people fail at their New Year’s resolutions, not because they don’t want to succeed but because the very act of setting resolutions can lead us to fail. The pressure and rigidness of a New Year’s Resolution can be suffocating, overwhelming and make the goal one has set seem impossible. Don’t worry there is a solution, you are not alone and I am here to help you. When I started earlier this year, my own health and weight goals were overwhelming, to say the least. I had lost about 45lbs in 2016, I was slim, cute and sick AF. I put so much pressure on myself and my eating habits were one experiment after another, that I ended up with kidney stones! Trust me y’all Kidney stones are painful and they are NO Joke!
Then in March my mental health went to shit. I spent 75% of 2017 on medical leave due to an emotional and mental breakdown. I gained 55lbs (everything I had lost plus a bonus 10lbs). It is bad enough that I did not recognize the woman in the mirror mentally and emotionally, but to have all my hard work in the gym and kitchen erased…bruh!
So I took a step back, did my homework and cut myself some slack, and now I will be starting over in the New Year and I am inviting you all to join me on a journey to a happier, healthier, more intentional, more focused and most important more balanced version of ourselves.
